by admin

Presented by Sherron Brown, Abigail Cooper, and Simone Green, this session is designed to explain how Jamaica’s social, historical, political events, cultural practices, norms and mores can be utilized to understand and demystify the Jamaican/American (JAMERICAN) child in the classroom setting. The presenters opine that acquisition of this crucial information will more effectively facilitate and inform delivery of educational services in order to positively impact the development of the (JAMERICAN) student in the academic, social emotional and career awareness realm through the K-12 education continuum.
